Gachika AA comes from the Gachika Coffee Factory in Kiambu, Kenya, where smallholder producers deliver ripe coffee cherries to be carefully processed through the traditional Kenyan washed method.
Built around SL28 and Ruiru 11, this coffee has the clarity and vibrant acidity we love in great Kenyan coffees. Expect a punchy hit of grapefruit and orange, balanced by a sweet, red-grape-like finish and a clean, lingering cup.
After pulping, the coffee is rested overnight, washed and then soaked in clean water before being slowly dried on raised tables — a process that helps create the exceptional clarity, sweetness and structure Kenya is known for.
