Daily Drip: Specialty Coffee Without the Coffee Gear

There are plenty of places where we'd love a really good coffee.

Unfortunately, they're often the exact same places where making one properly becomes a pain.

The office kitchen. A hotel room. The campsite. The caravan. A road trip. A weekend away. Somewhere completely off grid.

You can pack a grinder, scales, brewer, filters and beans if you really want to.

Or you can pack a Daily Drip.

What is a Daily Drip?

Daily Drip is our new individually packed pour-over coffee bag.

The concept is simple: the coffee and filter are already together in one portable brewer.

Open the packet, tear open the top of the filter, unfold the little arms over the sides of your cup and slowly pour hot water through the coffee.

Once you're finished, remove the filter and you're done.

No grinder.

No separate brewer.

No scales.

No paper filters.

No complicated setup.

You still need a cup and hot water, obviously. But that's about it.

Made for places your coffee machine can't follow

We didn't really create Daily Drip to replace the way you make coffee at home.

If you've got your espresso machine, V60, grinder or favourite brewing setup sitting there, use it.

Daily Drip is for everywhere else.

At the office

Keep a few in your desk drawer and you've got good coffee ready whenever the communal instant coffee isn't cutting it.

You don't need to leave another brewer sitting in the kitchen or convince everyone else that your coffee grinder definitely isn't too loud.

Cup. Hot water. Daily Drip.

Done.

Camping and off-grid

This is probably where Daily Drip makes the most sense.

When you're camping, hiking, fishing or travelling somewhere remote, every bit of gear takes up space.

If you've already got a way of heating water, you can make a proper pour over without packing a grinder, brewer or coffee-making kit.

It's specialty coffee that takes up almost no room.

Holidays and travelling

Hotel-room coffee can be fairly grim.

Daily Drip fits easily into your luggage and gives you a reliable coffee option wherever you're staying.

Take them on flights, road trips, weekends away or overseas holidays and you've effectively got a tiny pour-over setup sitting in your suitcase.

Caravans and road trips

Space matters in a caravan.

Daily Drip gives you freshly brewed coffee without dedicating cupboard space to an entire coffee setup.

They're also easy to throw into the car for those stretches of road where good coffee can be hard to find.

We didn't compromise on the coffee

Convenience only really matters if the coffee inside is worth drinking.

So for Daily Drip we've used our Kenya Gachika AA Washed.

Gachika comes from the Gachika Coffee Factory in Kiambu, Kenya, where coffee from local smallholder producers is processed using the traditional Kenyan washed method.

The coffee is built around SL28 and Ruiru 11 varieties and undergoes an extended washed process before being slowly dried on raised tables.

The result is exactly what we want from a great Kenyan coffee: clean, bright and incredibly expressive.

In the cup you'll find:

Grapefruit • Raspberry • Blackcurrant

There's vibrant citrus and berry character, plenty of sweetness and the clean structure that makes high-quality Kenyan coffee particularly well suited to filter brewing.

Which makes it a pretty good candidate for a tiny pour-over bag.

Convenience coffee doesn't have to taste like convenience coffee

That's really the point of Daily Drip.

There are already plenty of ways to make coffee quickly.

We wanted a way to make good coffee easily.

Something you could throw into your bag without thinking about it and know that, wherever you ended up, you wouldn't have to settle for instant coffee or whatever happened to be available nearby.

No complicated instructions.

No expensive equipment.

No big coffee kit.

Just a properly sourced and roasted specialty coffee that's ready when you are.

Office. Travel. Camping. Holidays. Off grid.

Wherever you're going:

Good coffee goes anywhere.
